Central Saint Martins designer @enzokeuning presents ‘Humanoids of Decay’, photographed by @stefanogiovannigiuliano.

The collection is described by Keuning as: “Exploring the body and human form using the tension between the natural, industrial and historical.
The way in which industrial materials take on humanoid forms and seem to be undetectable in this world full of industrialization.
Garments taking on the form of decaying skin signifying the human hopefulness in technology and industrialization which tends to ultimately lead to the decay of matter over time.
This ever-changing battle of nature against industrial endeavours while at the same time having Al developments slowly turning mankind and animals into these bionic creatures.
Exoskeletal structures from recycled coffee burlap bags, naturally hand-dyed and coated in latex, and electrical wiring.
Mimicking the textures of decaying skin with hand-smocked silk and leather scraps.
While bicycle tubes wrap around the body, rooting themselves in the infertile ground.” - @enzokeuning

The ‘Projet de sac’ allows @ifmfashionba students, from the esteemed fashion school @ifmparis, to produce a hold-all accessory as a personal bag.

Four of these student’s designs grasped our attention imminently. From the colours and sheer size of these bags to the wonderfully shot images to showcase their work, these designers have produced a garment that embodies that Parisian, chic, slouchy essence that one dreams of having in a bag.

Designer and innovative artist Antoine Panabiere @freecr4ckplz has just released the third instalment of their “Bals des Victimes” collection, highlighting 17th century stage attire all whilst researching the constraints of the body and madness; exploring how the two coincide.

The sculptural approach to their artistry caught our eye from their first release of look one, the outer-bodied experience that we witness from the secondary body imposed within the clothing - though their is innovation here and a spellbound approach to design, the garment making still stand exquisite.

As the project progresses along the slides, the outfits don’t lose their sculptural integrity, from cuts and use of certain fabrics that are structurally sound and aesthetically pleasing. The pieces run as a perfect three, representing costumes you subconsciously associate with the famous French balls which took place during the revolution.

Gorgeous, beautiful, sinister and a profound commentary on French culture through the lens of fashion - bravo! 🖤

@ThomasClem.ent redefines spontaneity and precision in his latest collection, ’Before Sunrise’, a lineup shaped by fleeting encounters and everyday moments.

Colours, textures, patterns, and cuts come together to produce interesting pieces which aren’t like anything we have seen before from a recent graduate designer.

The shoes! Let’s talk about those shoes. The buckles simultaneously doubling as nails, the curved heel, the colours and textures … all effortless and unique in their individual aesthetic. @ThomasClem.ent defines his personality and style through his garments.

The use of deadstock zippers become “biomechanical feathers” through deconstruction, while a collaboration with Aigues Vertes pulls in handwoven textiles crafted with a real sense of purpose.

Clement writes, “Much like a step to the side, my creative process is nourished by exchanges, faces, images, and spontaneous ideas that push me to reinvent myself while maintaining the technical rigour essential to fashion practice.” And it’s evident through the garments the emerging designer has meticulously produced. The flair for design partners beautifully with the craft and technique of the piece’s manufacture.

The collection exudes a certain cuteness, a sweetness which aligns with the pure technique and craft which has been implemented into Charlotte’s designs.

The illusion of making her models look his tiniest possible was cleverly executed by hope’s creation of larger than life objects such as scissors, buttons and lollipops.

@BethanLilyRae is a @lcflondon_ student who has just created a monofilament trapped seaglass t-shirt adorned in the eye-catching crystal-like embellishments that made us gasp… out loud.

In a menswear collaborative project, the designer has made her mark on the new wave of fashion coming out of the London College of Fashion, and we just had to spotlight them.

We are also almost certain that Disney’s Little Mermaid, Ariel, would definitely keep this in her secret grotto alongside her dazzling thingamajigs.

@BethanLilyRae is a @lcflondon_ student who has just created a monofilament trapped seaglass t-shirt adorned in the eye-catching crystal-like embellishments that made us gasp… out loud.

In a menswear collaborative project, the designer has made her mark on the new wave of fashion coming out of the London College of Fashion, and we just had to spotlight them.

We are also almost certain that Disney’s Little Mermaid, Ariel, would definitely keep this in her secret grotto alongside her dazzling thingamajigs.

@BAFCSM student @SHUO__S has taken inspiration from those bubble magicians you see whilst strolling by through parks or squares, the attractions that, in all fairness, do catch your eye… you can’t beat a bubble!

Differing from her previous works, Shuo Sun took to a “lighter approach, starting from a fleeting yet beautiful moment I experienced while traveling in Barcelona.” From there, the creative has redeveloped the delicate and complex structures and faces of bubbles into her latest designs.

“With this project, I aimed to recreate that pure, joyful experience and share it with others,” she says.

First year @WestminsterFashion student @Madeleine.Millerrr_ explores the commodification of bodies as tools for sport within her latest project.

The ideology behind the design thesis explores how the British upper classes use and have used the body as tools for violent entertainment through the lens of spectator sports, experiencing how Madeleine puts it as, “primal violence […] those [sports] which allow violence to be diluted through application of a tool, i.e. a fencing rapier or horse.”

@Hayina_Cao is no stranger to surrealist ideas that engulf her expertise in fashion design, and to that reason, has produced a garment aptly named “Flowers and Insects” featuring an efflorescence of hand-beaded florets and matching creatures that lurk beneath the leaves.

The piece exudes craftsmanship to a high degree and an even higher anointing of creativity - it’s refreshing to see designers step out of the ordinary, everything seems so samey-samey nowadays - this excites us, as fashion rightfully should! Workshopped by @tutia_schaad.

Its beauty is unique and similarly to the works of @IrisVanHerpen, holds its own structural integrity as a piece of clothing and simultaneously as wearable art.

Having drawn the collection’s inspiration from time spent caring for their grandparents diagnosed with dementia, Japanese @bafcsm womenswear-designer @yasu_whekang wants to “celebrate the inability to do things perfectly or follow a set path - not as something negative, but as a natural flow.”

This sheds an important light on the problem with perfectionism - deeming something as perfect is subjective, and whichever way you look at something, beauty can always prevail and shine through the ‘imperfections’ or unnatural states that we are so quick to judge and comment on.

They continue saying that “No matter how disjointed they may seem as beings, they offer us new perspectives.” Seconding the notion above.

We think it’s a beautiful testament to the lives of close ones, the work produced shows craftsmanship, thoughtfulness and respect, to those around us, but to the garments themselves - letting them stand in their own beauty, allowing us to see more than one sided perfectionism the world knows too well.
