Are you getting a little bored of the same thing, over and over again? Possibly you would like to spice up your everyday outfits with something new, and you are lucky because you have come to the right place! In this post we will be writing about all of the latest brands to keep your eye on in 2021 which are totally trendy, stylish and ready for you to wear!
Piece of White
Empowerment. Strength and the ability to speak what you desire is what we are trying to push in this day and age as a small magazine and also together as a world. 'Piece of White' is an emerging fashion house founded in 2017 by Notting Hill-based designer Zeynep Tansung. Their aim is to take responsibility on female empowerment throughout their supply-chain and also hope to "redefine every day classics with every-season approach". With a collection revolving about classic and "timeless essentials" each of their garments are exquisitely made, with an overall almost renaissance style. High collars and extended cuffs are a staple-piece of this brand we we are truly here for them!
The house offers a wide range of clothing, such as: Shirts, Skirts, Dresses, Jumpsuits and Trousers. Each of which are rather pricey, yet rightfully so as the craftsmanship is just admirable. Greys, pale blues and whites are a recurring theme throughout this brand, inducing a sense of cleanliness and purity, once again reinstating the timeless affect in which the brand is aiming for.
LVIR
Minimalist brand 'LVIR' claims that they make "a flexible style that naturally melts into the attitudes and emotions of the person" who wears their clothing. This mindset is so innovative and inviting that we had to include it into our post. The company works with a wide range of fashion professionals and produce refined women's clothing with a glamorous style, by using a wide range of modern techniques which they say "can be enjoyed by all generations" and we are sure that they ca be as the garments they produce are gorgeous.
Based around an earthy palette, this brand immediately caught our eye as we stand by the neutral tones as a classic go-to when defining ageless fashion; due to their versatility. With a Scandinavian aesthetic, this brand is different to the rest in its category. From ranging lengths in outerwear and varied styles to suit all types of personalities, LVIR's aim seems definitely possible, being that their clothing looks truly applicable to anyone, no matter who they are or how they feel.
Rokh
Rok Hwang, a Seoul born fashion designer who grew up in Austin, Texas, founded 'Rokh', a London based fashion house. After graduating from Central Saint Martins with a BA and his award-winning MA collection, Rok became R-T-W designer for Céline, later followed by Louis Vuitton and Chloé.
Rokh incorporates the dynamic youth cultures into its designs while maintaining a sense of conceptual art. The company offers a custom creation to each individual style and all of the items with a focal point on artisan craft and prints. This gives the brand a unique and particular approach to its production and each of its elements of creation.
We are amazed by how well this designer has done in creating a new and exclusive brand off of his own back, and the designs are immaculate - the colours are varied and there is a definitive and cultivated theme which runs throughout the companies designs, therefore keeping it analogous and chic.
Matin
When you think of an Australian fashion label, who comes to mind? For us, most definitely, 'Matin'. Designed and made in Sydney, the draping dresses and trendy collections are (in our books) pioneering the future of stylish and comfortable women's wear. Though its dear prices, the items are varied, new, absolutely elegant and surely worth the cost. Perfect for a hot summer's day or a stroll along the beach, the lightweight clothing which this brand has to offer is a great choice to take.
Coordinated once again around neutral tones and thin materials, like linen and crochet, the items are seen to drape down, and sway. With keyhole dresses and a "boxy pocket shirt dress", you really cannot go wrong!
Patterns seem to be a primary focus for this brand as just from the website, we can see stripes, polka-dot and embroidery, something cute and indifferent to a few other brands out there at the moment, yet what sets this brand apart from the rest are their designs and exquisite attention to detail.
Thebe Magugu
Sustainability, vibrance, and cultural honour incorporated within a luxury fashion brand, is what we love to see here at Ästhetik Magazine. This South African brand creates clothing for both men and women, whilst integrating novelty and "uncompromising quality". Again, timelessness is a theme which runs amidst this brand (which is fine with us!) - we are all for it! Classic designs are safe, and easy to layer, and pair with other garments you may have lying about your home. If you're ever in doubt, timelessness is never wrong.
Beautiful garments covered with patterns and various blocked-colours are sure to catch your eye as you browse their intriguing and interactive website, the clothing looks undeniably well-made and the fact that the company is keeping 'home' a recurrent theme within their designs sets them apart from many other designers who don't source their materials locally like, Thebe Magugu does. For example, for their unisex 'Basotho Poncho', the "woven denim-feel textile" is locally garnered.
Peter Do
Probably the most recognised out of the entirety of the brands among this list, 'Peter Do' is an infamous, New York based fashion house which creates an array of stunning pieces including: outerwear, jewellery and more importantly.... shoes.
Established by a group of long-time friends, 'Peter Do' "articulates a youthful approach to design that is founded on razor sharp tailoring, architectural construction and honest textiles". Similar to Rok Hwang, Peter Do was also an R-T-W for Céline, however followed by Derek Lam. He also received the LVMH award.
Their garments are geometric, innovative and simple. However, they are sure to stand out of the crowd for their angular and diverse designs. Like many of their other collections, a prominent motif of the brand is the use of leather. Even in their SS21 collection either was once again a definitive textile, used to create bags, jackets and apron-like dresses.
Arjé
Last but most definitely not least, is Arjé. Launched to create an offhand collection of luxury wardrobe essentials, the company names each of their collections under 'Chapters' in order to induce a sense of connectedness and fluency between all of their designs. The items made reflect the brand's semi-nomadic lifestyle. Although the clothing is exceptionally expensive, the quality is remarkable, displaying an almost nordic effect with the use of pure wool and leather.
Similar to Saint Laurent, the clothing is created with stylish techniques and a wide variety materials, easy to layer and wear together, the cashmere and linen finishes are seen throughout the chapters in colours such as: yellow, beige, brown and white. These colours seamlessly complement one-another and work simultaneously to create a seriously European (and really warm) feel.
Once again available for both men and women, some items are sold out and there's no surprise as to why. The quality and craftsmanship of each of the items is visible to the eye and even the website is aesthetically pleasing and easy to use.
Overall a superb company and we are hoping to see more from them in the future!
